Color - Color - Color / We must downsize.

7 breedable females / 3 herdsires

Package price - $20,000 or best offer

If you love it or need to add it, this is the package for you.  We have put together both experienced breeders and maidens. All total there are 10 alpacas consisting of 7 females (four proven) and 3 males (all proven). We have included four blacks (one with double grey lineage), three browns, one light fawn and two whites (one of which has only produced colored cria).  All the girls are ready to breed.  We have deliberately left them open so that their new owner can choose from either of the three males in the package or ones that they already own.    We will breed them for you and guarantee pregnancy before purchase. All of our animals are ARI registered, current on all shots, and BVD negative.

After the birth of our second child, we have found the need to drastically reduce our herd and slow down for a few years in order to enjoy our adorable little pre-schooler and toddler. So this is truly a unique opportunity to acquire so much color genetics at one time.

If you would like to break down this package into a smaller herd from the ones listed, we can accomodate that, just give us a call.

                                                           FEMALES

SMVA’s GiGi
(Huacaya, female, dark brown, DOB 7-14-03, ARI #1012316)

GiGi is a striking dark brown female who is very ready to breed.  She is super dense with great handle and conformation. She would be a great addition to a rose grey breeding program since she has white fiber evenly distributed throughout her blanket, just not enough to qualify her as a roan or rose grey. Her first histogram showed her genetic marker to be 18.4 microns and her 2006 blanket’s shearing weight was 3.2 lbs. Her showing records include:  The Great Frederick Fair 2004 – 1st in halter and 1st in owned/bred, North American 2004 – 6th in halter, The Great Frederick Fair 2005 – 2nd in fleece, The Jubilee 2005 – 5th in halter.

SMVA's Hazel                                                                                            (Huacaya, female, bay black, DOB 9-27-04, ARI #1439489)

Hazel is the sweetest girl on the farm.  She has a truly gentle spirit and is a pleasure to work with. She is a gorgeous bay black female who is ready to breed. Her fiber is phenomenally fine especially for a bay black. Her 2005 fiber testing showed her at 15.7 microns and her 2006 showed her at 21.2 microns … and yes, I did say she was a bay black. She has a great conformation and an adorable head. She reflects her colored parent’s low microns, with her dark brown/black point dam’s 6 year old micron count coming in at 22.8 and her light fawn 6 year old breeding sire at 24.5 (2006 fiber testing results). Throw some density on her and she is the perfect paca.

SMVA’s Snowballs Chance
(Huacaya, female, white, DOB 11-28-05, ARI #30408876)

Yep, she’s the only white alpaca born on our farm.  We were actually ecstatic about it, a true novelty for us.  I must say, she posses some of the gorgeous white qualities we all love but has the added bonus of coming from colored parents (a dark brown dam and light fawn sire, both of which have only thrown colored alpacas before her).  Go figure.  Her 2006 fiber testing results showed her micron count to be 18.2, the fiber curve (crimp) was 35.4 and the comfort factor was 99.3 %.  She will be 2 in November of this year is showing a lot of interest with the boys.

Ideuma Creek’s MacKenzie
(Huacaya, female, true black, DOB 8-14-00, ARI #826330)

MacKenzie is a big non-fading true black female. She is an extremely easy breeder, birther, and a great mother. Her crias have all had IgG’s of over 2300.  She has produced both solid and white marked cria in shades from dark brown to black. In addition, her crias have consistently taken on their sire’s fleece characteristics.

Ideuma Creek’s Crystal
(Huacaya, female, white, DOB 9-7-00, ARI #826331)

Crystal is the “mommy” on our farm.  She not only watches out for her cria but keeps track of the rest of the rambunctious group. Her crias have all had IgG’s of over 2400. She is a consistent breeder and extremely dense.  Although she is a blue eye, she has never thrown one and has always thrown color including grey. Believe it or not, this gal was one of the hardest to let go since she has added so much to our show line breeding program. To us, she’s a no worry breeder with who from we have no fear of getting quality/healthy crias. We are keeping her last cria, who is a grey male because he is spectacular and when we have the time to really breed again, we intend to use him.

Ideuma Creek's Patience                                                                         (Hucacaya, female, dark brown, DOB 10-01-00, ARI #826333)

Patience is a large brown girl with black points.  She is an easy going mother with high IgG babies. Her crias have always been real keepers. She has produced colors from white to bay black.  She is due at the end of July 2008.  Hopefully, she will produce yet another colorful, healthy girl.  Her 6 year old micron count was an astonishing 22.8.  In addition, Patience is very pleasent to be around, she always seems to have a smile on her face.

Ideuma Creek's Cinnamon Fern                                                                 (Huacaya, female, light brown, DOB 9-7-00, ARI #826332)

As her name indicates, she is the most beautiful cinnamon color.  She, like Patience, is a very pleasent alpaca.  Her yarn, because of the color sells out quickly.  We have only bred her once, she produced a magnificent golden colored little girl.  Unfortunately the cria died at 3 months. The baby was a dystosia and never fully thrived.  We have been anxious to breed her again, but have not had the time. The vet and ourselves believe the dystosia was a random thing and that there are no indicators that this would be the norm for her.

MALES

AABC Boris
(Huacaya, male, black, DOB 9-24-01, ARI #831415)

Boris is a non-fading true black proven herdsire.  He is a large boned male with excellent conformation and nice fiber. His fleece has placed in several shows including a 6th at the 2005 Jubilee. He is out of a double grey lineage - his sire is a medium rose grey and his dam is a light silver grey. We have only had the opportunity to breed him twice.  Those breedings resulted in a true black and a medium silver grey. In addition to being a handsome stud, he is very easy to work with.  We have even taking him to a few PR events in the past. He will make a great addition to anyone’s grey and or black breeding program.

AABC Odyssey
(Huacaya, male, bay black, DOB 5-23-00, ARI #819353)

This handsome solid colored bay black proven herdsire is a knock out.  He knows his breeding business. He has thrown healthy colored crias that have been in the ribbons.  We only had the opportunity to show him once, in 2003, and he placed 1st in halter at Alpacarama. His import sire, Acero Marka’s Champ, was Bolivia’s Grand Champion yearling class – dense black - he too, has produced offspring that have been color winners.  To this day, many of his offspring are currently foundation herd animals on multitudes of alpaca farms.

AABC Starbuck                                                                                         (Huacaya, male, light fawn, DOB 6-3-00, ARI #819360)

Starbuck is a stunning male who has produced some gorgeous offspring. Thus far, he has sired only females ranging in colors from white to bay black. He has a handsome typey head, and wonderful dense fiber with a micron count at 6 years of age of 22.  He has won numerous fleece show awards, in addition to his only full fleece show where he received a 4th place at the 2003 MAPACA Jubilee, light fawn adult male.  His father Peruvian Challenger, a medium fawn, won 1st place at the Jubilee in 1999.  He really is a full package unto himself.
